British Birds with Their Nests and Eggs In Six Volumes, Illustrated by FW Frohawk. Folio.(10" x 12.5") Six volumes. London: Brumby & Clarke. Half army green cloth with corners, all cloth edges with thick gilt rule, over lighter green cloth boards. Gilt title to upper left of upper boards. Spine with gilt lettering. Top edge gilt. 24 chromolithographic plates of eggs from Frohawk, mostly as frontispieces. Black and white illustrations throughout each text. Minor edgewear, corners bumped and rubbed, some rubbed through. Head and foot of spine ruffled with small closed tears. A little shelfwear to bottom of boards, overall Very Good. An attractive set of books with great illustrations, 24 of them in full color.
