- Folio.(9.125" x 15") 590 pp. Latin language. Full mottled brown leather with blindstamp rule framing covers. Spine with six raised bands,gilt title/vol# to red leather in second compartment, gilt subtitle to dark green leather in third, others with heavy gilt (now faded) fancy frames with centered gilt floral device. All edges reddened, marbled endpapers. Early repairs evident at gutters, edgewear, corners bumped and rubbed with loss to tips. Head and foot of spine chipped with loss. all leather with craquelure, covers rubbed, scuffed, chipped (see pic). Small shelf stamp to front pastedown. Upper board starting at head. Dampstain to lower spine area starting at p 435 to end, not affecting text. Intermitent foxing throughout, heavier to front and rear of text. An ancient looking book.
