Full creamy vellum over beveled boards, both with heavy gilt rule to vellum and inset black leather framing a gilt cross with lillies centered to upper board, a gilt trefoil centered to rear board. Spine with large black leather title block with gilt lettering and very heavy gilt decoration (see pic). All edges gilt, gold paterned textured endpapers. Heavily illustrated with seventy-six tipped in photographs, exactly what artists were afraid would happen after the spread of photography. Essentially no wear, looks almost as new except for the slight wave of pages due to adhesion of photographs to pages, which also creates a bit of splay to the boards, otherwise a Fine book indeed.
