"Hand-Painted and Brush Painted Early Ukiyo-e with Commentary," complete in two volumes, published in Japan in 1963. Impressive folio volumes (11.75" x 15.5") housed in black cloth folios with red interiors. The folio of Volume I shows heavy wear along the spine while the folio of Volume II shows mild wear. The books are bound in tan cloth with black endpapers; in Volume I, the second flyleaf from the front is teal and in Volume II purple.

The volumes retain multiple uncut pages, adding to their appeal as collectible art books. An attractive two-volume set devoted to early Ukiyo-e painting and brushwork, suitable for collectors and students of Japanese art, traditional printmaking, and the history of Ukiyo-e.
