8vo.(5.75" x 8.875") 520 pp. Full brown cloth with gilt illustration of bird head centered to upper board, spine with gilt lettering and gilt vignette towards foot. Top edge gilt, others deckled. Maroon endpapers, titlee page in red and black ink, color plate as frontispiece. Edgewear, corners lightly bumped and rubbed, head and foot of spine ruffled with tiny closd tears. Spine repair to a lenghthwise split to spine cloth, ding to fore-edge of upper board, spine ligghtly sun-faded. Covers lightly soiled. Bookseller's notes in pencil to prelims. Illustrated with 35 colored plates of multiple birds to each plate.
