"The Cabinet of History: History of Switzerland from B.C. 110 to A.D. 1830" by Rev. Dionysius Lardner, published in Philadelphia by Carey & Lee in 1832. This early nineteenth-century volume traces the history of Switzerland from antiquity through 1830, making it an interesting addition for collectors of Swiss history, European history, and antiquarian books.

12mo (4.25" x 7.5"), 288 pages. Bound in salmon cloth over paper boards with a scuffed and chipped paper title label to the spine. Deckled edges, with edgewear and bumped, rubbed corners, including loss to the tips. The head and foot of the spine are ruffled with tiny closed tears and some fraying. Boards are stained and edges chipped. Foxing is present throughout, heavier on the first and last few leaves but not egregious. The first and last free endpapers contain approximately twenty faint lines of manuscript in light pencil, along with a prior owner's name, Glover, neatly written in ink on the front pastedown. Another owner's name and date, 1836, appear in ink at the head of the title page. The final blank free flyleaf is approximately three-quarters missing. Includes an Appendix, Index, and chart to the rear.
