From Wiki: Robert Sheringham (1602–1678) was an English linguist, scholar and royalist writer. He suggested a Talmudic origin of some of the New Testament parables. His Joma:Codex talmudicus (1648) was a Latin translation of and commentary on Yoma, the tractate of Seder Moed.
Jacob Rhenferd (1654–1712), professor of Hebrew and Oriental languages at the University of Franeker in the United Provinces. Rhenferd’s conception of philologia sacra was profoundly shaped by kabbalistic insights and that a recourse to Kabbalah provided him with an idiom to articulate anew some foundational Reformed doctrines. Conversely, a comparison with the kabbalistic studies of some of his contemporaries highlights the incipient difficulties faced by a kabbalistic approach to Christian doctrine and its history.
Daniel Lundius (1 August 1666 – 25 December 1747) was a Swedish theologian and orientalist, and bishop of Strängnäs diocese from 1731 to 1747.
Humphrey Hody (1659 – 20 January 1707) was an English scholar and theologian. In 1684 he published Contra historiam Aristeae de LXX. interpretibus dissertatio, in which he argued that the so-called "Letter of Aristeas", containing an account of the production of the Septuagint, was the late forgery of a Hellenic Jew originally circulated to lend authority to that version. The dissertation was generally regarded as conclusive, although Isaac Vossius published an angry and scurrilous reply to it in the appendix to his edition of Pomponius Mela.
