- Folio.(10" x 13") Full red leather with ornate gilt rule of Greek Key and floral rule framing covers. Spine with five gilt decorated raised double bands, gilt author/title to glt bordered second compartment, gilt rule borders to all other compartments, gilt rule to head and foot of spine. All edges gilt, marbled endpapers. Edgewear, corners bumped and rubbed, head and foot of spine chipped with tiny loss to head, loss of color to foot. Covers lightly scuffed, spine leather scuffed and rubbed on bands with two old gouges to first compartment (see pic). Text in both English and French, 78 engraved plates, book in landscape, bound as portrait.
