8vo.(5.75" x 9") Baytun signed binding. 303 pp. Half brown leather with generous corners, bright gilt rule to all leather edges, over tan fabric boards. Spine with five gilt decorated raised bands, gilt title to second compartment, gilt author to fourth, single gilt device within a gilt rule frame to all other compartments, gilt year at foot. Top edge gilt, marbled endpapers. Virtually no wear to binding, spine lightly sun faded. Illusttrated with 33 plates and maps, photo frontispiece.
