"Canada," painted by T. Mower Martin, R.C.A. and described by Wilfred Campbell, LL.D., published in London in 1907 by A. & C. Black. This beautifully illustrated volume presents the landscapes and scenery of Canada through Martin’s paintings, accompanied by Campbell’s descriptive text.

4to. Handsomely bound in three-quarter red morocco, with five gilt-accented raised bands and elaborately gilt-decorated spine compartments. The covers and endpapers feature matching marbling, with gilt top edge.

The book contains 77 stunning full-color plates reproduced from paintings by T. Mower Martin, along with a folding map bound at the rear.

Condition: The rear cover has approximately 1½" of sun fading near the top and ¾" near the fore-edge, apparently caused by a smaller book resting alongside it.

A beautiful Edwardian-era volume combining Canadian landscape art, travel, geography, and natural scenery, with particularly handsome period binding and extensive color illustration.
