Spine with five giolt decorated raised bands, gilt author/title to double gilt rule framed red leather in second compartment, gilt vol# on fancy gilt bordered black leather in third compartment, all over gilt floral devices centered to each of the other compartments, fancy floral gilt rule to head and foot of spine, old paper library sticker affixed to first compartment. All edges lightly speckled brown, marbled endpapers. Edgewear, corners bumped and rubbed with loss to lower tips, front lower corner and 1" of fore-edge lacking leather, covers scuffed and rubbed with 2.5" scrape to upper board, head and foot of spine chipped with loss at foot with scrape of 1" x 1.25". Other scuffs to extremities. Text super clean.
